The Church of Saint-Nicolas in Rombies-et-Marchipont
The current church dates from 1718 as attested by the inscription shown in a diamond-shaped inset in the northern outer wall and the date displayed in raised bricks on the western facade. The church's interior includes several valuable items including among others a 15th century Calvary, a statue of Saint Jacques dating from the 16th century and several pictures and gravestones from the 18th century which were restored for the village’s bicentennial in 2006. The church is located on a former pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, coming from Belgium and Germany.
