The Jesuits, who arrived in Valenciennes in 1589, opened a college there and built a chapel completed in 1613. The Auditorium hosts a dozen performances and shows a month. The Auditorium Saint-Nicolas can be put at the disposal of associations and various structures, for the organization of shows and conferences. It includes a room with 365 seats, a stage, a control room, dressing rooms and a fireplace.
