As a rather unusual location on the wet plains of the north, don't miss the climb to the top of its spoil heap, an impressive lookout point from where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Condé area and which boasts fauna and flora which have come here from far and wide, including: Sorrel from the Alps, groundsel from South Africa, Chenopodium from Australia and thermophilic plants.
