The Rhônelle Park in Valenciennes
Designed by the architect Henri Martinet, this English style park was completed in 1904. He made ample use of the river and changes in level to carve out a basin, create winding paths, and installed fake ruins and rocks. This park today provides the setting for numerous works of art, and much like the cemetery of Saint-Roch it could be described as a genuine open-air museum.
Fancy a little gourmet break? The Food Trucks Nougat Bouboule invites you to the Rhônelle garden, from Tuesday to Sunday, from August until September 30, 2023 to treat you during your walks from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
On the program for your taste buds, Italian ice cream, granita, cotton candy and other small delicacies.
